do i have a photographic memory?
when i look at something for about 15 seconds or so, i can see it in my mind for a while quite vividly. for example i went camping with my dad yesterday and saw a very pretty view of the trees/birds/small lake that is still plastered in my mind at this moment. when i close my eyes, i feel like i’m in the woods again and i can see every detail of it. i could stay that way for hours. is this a photographic memory? this has been happening since i was 12. i’m 13 now.
No you don’t - unless you can read a book or be told something & basically recite it many moons later. I have a photographic memory & there is far more to it than being able to build an identical image to one you have seen & enjoyed a day or two later. What you have is a good ability to build an imagery of pleasurable experiences.
First ,I wish I was you,wow but I think a photographic memory is a detailed memory of books and things not always so pleasant.I have a cousin that has this, but me I have a memory like a sieve.
A photographic memory is when you could read a book and say it back to someone without looking/
So no.
you probably enjoyed the view so much it made an impression and that’s why you remember it.
